Overview

BCI-1229 is a small molecule inhibitor of colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R) developed by BCI Pharma. It is being investigated for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). BCI-1229 targets CSF1R to block infiltrating monocytes and tumor-associated macrophages in the bone marrow stroma, thereby disrupting the supportive tumor microenvironment that contributes to disease development and therapy resistance. In preclinical studies, BCI-1229 has demonstrated potent inhibition of CSF1R-dependent cell lines, showing greater potency than the reference inhibitor BLZ-945.
