Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BCI-XXX is a preclinical-stage small molecule inhibitor of the colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R), developed by BCI Pharma. CSF1R is a key regulator of the survival, proliferation, and differentiation of mononuclear phagocytes, including microglia in the central nervous system. By inhibiting CSF1R, BCI-XXX aims to modulate microglial activity and reduce central neuroinflammation, which is a contributing factor in various neurodegenerative and neurological disorders. The program was highlighted in BCI Pharma's 2019 pipeline specifically for central neuroinflammation.
