Bcl-6 antibody

Bcl-6 antibody is a therapeutic agent designed to neutralize the B-cell lymphoma 6 (Bcl-6) protein. While Bcl-6 is traditionally characterized as a nuclear transcription factor and a master regulator of T follicular helper (TFH) cell proliferation, recent research from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has identified it as a potential secreted protein in certain malignancies, such as bladder cancer. Preclinical studies indicate that extracellular Bcl-6 levels are elevated in cancer patients and that its neutralization with a specific antibody can inhibit angiogenesis and tumor cell proliferation. In animal models of bladder cancer, intratumoral administration of a Bcl-6 antibody significantly reduced tumor growth and decreased CD31-positive cell density, suggesting a role in inhibiting tumor-associated vascularization.
