Overview

BCM-5031 is an autologous cell therapy product comprising dendritic cells (DC) and cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells. Developed by ImmuneCyte Life Sciences, it is intended for the treatment of solid tumors, specifically targeting micro-metastatic disease in the adjuvant setting following surgical resection. The mechanism of action involves the synergistic effect of dendritic cells, which enhance the presentation of tumor antigens to the immune system, and CIK cells, which exhibit potent, non-major histocompatibility complex (MHC)-restricted cytotoxic activity against malignant cells. This dual approach is designed to eradicate residual cancer cells and reduce the risk of recurrence.
