Overview

BCM-6100 is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered natural killer (NK) cell therapy developed by ImmuneCyte Life Sciences. It is built upon the company's CAR-NK2GD platform, which utilizes the NKG2D receptor's natural ability to recognize a broad range of ligands (such as MICA, MICB, and ULBPs) that are typically upregulated on the surface of stressed or malignant cells, particularly in solid tumors. By engineering NK cells to express a CAR based on the NKG2D recognition domain, BCM-6100 aims to enhance the innate anti-tumor activity of NK cells, providing a targeted approach to treating various solid cancers while potentially minimizing off-target effects on healthy tissues.
