BCMA Autologous CAR T-cell Injection is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Beijing Boren Hospital. This autologous cell therapy involves the ex vivo genetic modification of a patient's own T-cells using a lentiviral vector (specifically the pCDH-BCMA CAR plasmid) to express a CAR targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA). BCMA is a cell surface receptor highly expressed on malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma and light chain (AL) amyloidosis. By redirecting T-cells to recognize and eliminate BCMA-expressing cells, the therapy aims to reduce the production of monoclonal light chains and prevent further organ damage. It is currently being evaluated in an early-phase clinical trial (NCT06983951) for patients with relapsed or refractory AL amyloidosis.
