Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**BCMA-CD19 cCAR** is an investigational dual-targeted, lentivirally engineered CAR-T cell therapy developed by iCell Gene Therapeutics with manufacturing involvement from iCAR Bio Therapeutics. The product expresses two complete and independently functional CARs, one directed against B-cell maturation antigen and one against CD19, linked by a self-cleaving P2A peptide. It is designed to eliminate CD19-positive B cells and BCMA-positive plasma cells, including long-lived plasma cells, to produce a broad B-cell and humoral immune reset. The therapy is administered as a single intravenous infusion after lymphodepleting chemotherapy and is in early clinical development for autoimmune diseases and B-cell or plasma-cell malignancies, including systemic lupus erythematosus, lupus nephritis, multiple myeloma, plasmacytoid lymphoma, and refractory immune thrombocytopenia. It has no approved brand name.
