Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BCMA Nanobody CAR-T is a cell therapy under evaluation for the treatment of relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma. It consists of T-cells engineered with a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR). This CAR is designed with a BCMA nanobody as the antigen-binding domain, a CD8 hinge, a transmembrane region, and a 4-1bb co-stimulation domain. The therapy aims to target and eliminate myeloma cells that extensively express B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), a protein involved in plasma cell proliferation and survival.
