**BCMA-PD1-CART Cell** is an investigational, autologous engineered T-cell therapy for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma developed at Chinese PLA General Hospital. The product expresses a chimeric antigen receptor directed against B-cell maturation antigen on myeloma cells and is engineered to secrete a high-affinity mutant programmed cell death protein 1 Fc fusion protein. The secreted PD-1Fc fusion protein binds programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 and is intended to block PD-1 and PD-L1 checkpoint signaling in the tumor microenvironment, while the BCMA-directed CAR-T cells mediate recognition and killing of BCMA-positive malignant plasma cells. It was evaluated in a single-center, open-label, non-randomized Phase 2 study in relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
