Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BCMA targeted prime CAR-T cells is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Chongqing Precision Biotech Co., Ltd. This biological intervention is designed to treat patients with relapsed/refractory Multiple Myeloma and Plasma Cell Disease. The therapy involves genetically engineering a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes and binds to B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), a protein highly expressed on malignant plasma cells. This binding initiates an immune response, leading to the destruction of the cancerous cells.
