BCP402 is an experimental chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Biocure Technology for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. The therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's T cells to express a chimeric antigen receptor that specifically targets the Receptor Tyrosine Kinase Like Orphan Receptor 1 (ROR1). ROR1 is an onco-embryonic surface antigen that is highly expressed in various solid and hematological malignancies, including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, but is largely absent in healthy adult tissues, making it an attractive target for immunotherapy. Upon administration, BCP402 CAR-T cells are designed to recognize and bind to ROR1-expressing tumor cells, leading to T-cell activation and the subsequent lysis of the cancer cells. The program is currently in preclinical development.
