Overview

BCyIF-1 (BioCytics Immune Fraction #1) is an autologous memory natural killer (NK) cell therapy being developed by BioCytics for the treatment of solid tumors. The therapy involves the ex-vivo expansion and adoptive transfer of autologous memory NK cells that recognize tumor cells through multiple innate immune mechanisms, including sensing Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) downregulation, stress-induced ligands (innate signals of cellular stress), and phosphoantigens. This approach leverages the intrinsic specificity of the patient's own immune system without the use of chimeric antigen receptors (CARs), utilizing a proprietary ex-vivo culture system designed for point-of-care collection, expansion, and formulation. As of late 2025, the program is in preclinical development with plans for first-in-human clinical trials in 2027.
