Overview

BD113vVLP is an experimental gene-editing **therapy based on CRISPR/Cas9 technology** delivered via a virus-like particle, developed for the treatment of **primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG)** in patients with MYOC gene mutations and elevated intraocular pressure. It is administered as a single intracameral (intraocular) injection and is designed to knock out or downregulate the mutated MYOC gene, with the goal of lowering intraocular pressure and mitigating disease progression. This is a first-in-human clinical study testing the safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy of this modality in a targeted population[1][2][3][5].
