Overview

BD114 is an **instantaneous CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing therapy delivered via virus-like particles** designed for the localized treatment of high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) of the cervix associated with HPV-16 infection. The therapy employs CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing to selectively target and disrupt viral DNA in cervical lesion cells. Developed by Shanghai BDgene Therapeutics, this therapy is being studied for safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy. BD114 is delivered either by intraepithelial injection or topical gel application directly to cervical lesions[1][4][6].
