Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BDB-001 is a recombinant human immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4) monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to complement component 5a (C5a), inhibiting C5a-triggered biological functions including neutrophil chemotaxis, intracellular bacteriolysis release, and inflammatory cytokine production. It has also been described as a toll-like receptor 7 and 8 (TLR 7/8) dual agonist with immune modulating capabilities that can reprogram dendritic cells to produce antitumor effects. BDB-001 was developed by Beijing Defengrei Biotechnology and Staidson Beijing BioPharmaceuticals, with primary indications in COVID-19 and advanced solid tumors.
