Overview

BDB018 is a next-generation, intravenously administered small molecule immunotherapy that acts as a dual agonist of toll-like receptor 7 and 8 (TLR7/8). It was specifically designed to further enhance immune activation against cancer while maintaining a favorable safety profile similar to its analogue, BDB001. By binding to and activating TLR7 and TLR8 on immune cells, BDB018 stimulates innate immune pathways leading to antitumor activity. The drug is being developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors that have relapsed or are refractory to standard treatments. Clinical development includes monotherapy as well as combination therapy with pembrolizumab in unresectable or metastatic solid tumors[1][4][5][7].
