Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Beam Fiel** is a Sri Lankan topical Ayurvedic antifungal ointment developed, marketed, and manufactured by Beam Hela Osu. The product is used for superficial fungal skin infections, including tinea capitis, tinea faciei, tinea barbae, tinea cruris, tinea corporis, plantar pedis, and tinea versicolor or Aluham. Its formulation includes salicylic acid and benzoic acid alongside a traditional herbal base containing *Senna alata*, *Curcuma longa* turmeric, coconut oil, and beeswax. Salicylic acid provides keratolytic activity that may assist removal of infected scale, while benzoic acid and botanical constituents contribute nonspecific topical antifungal activity. A completed registered clinical study evaluated twice-daily application for three months in adults with fungal skin conditions. ([isrctn.com](https://www.isrctn.com/ISRCTN87982460))
