Bearing nsPVA Express (brand name: Bearing nsPVA Express™) is a medical device consisting of a 20-mL, vacuum-sealed prefilled syringe containing Bearing nsPVA® (non-spherical polyvinyl alcohol) Embolization Particles. Developed and manufactured by Merit Medical Systems, Inc., it is used in minimally invasive embolization procedures to occlude blood vessels or abnormal vascular channels. The active material consists of small, irregularly shaped, biocompatible, hydrophilic, and nonresorbable polyvinyl alcohol (nsPVA) particles available in multiple size ranges (45–1180 µm). The product is designed to stop bleeding or to block blood flow to tumors and other abnormal tissues. It received FDA 510(k) clearance and was launched in the United States and Australia in May 2024.
