Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Beautifil II is a light-cured bioactive nanohybrid resin composite restorative material developed by Shofu. It is categorized as a Giomer, a hybrid of glass-ionomer and composite resin technologies, featuring Surface Pre-Reacted Glass (S-PRG) technology. This unique filler structure enables the material to release and recharge fluoride, providing anti-bacterial and acid-neutralizing effects that help prevent secondary caries. It is designed for use in both anterior and posterior restorations, offering high aesthetics, durability, and clinical longevity. In clinical studies, such as those conducted at the British University In Egypt, it serves as a gold-standard comparator for evaluating new dental restorative materials.
