BeautiSealant

BeautiSealant is a dental pit and fissure sealant that utilizes Giomer technology, which incorporates Surface Pre-Reacted Glass-ionomer (S-PRG) filler. Developed and manufactured by Shofu, it is a dental biomaterial used for the preventive sealing of pits and fissures in teeth to inhibit the development of dental caries. The S-PRG filler technology is characterized by its ability to release and recharge six bioactive ions: fluoride, sodium, strontium, aluminum, silicate, and borate. These ions collectively provide cariostatic properties, neutralize acids produced by bacteria, and inhibit plaque formation. BeautiSealant is formulated to be BPA-free and HEMA-free and typically employs a self-etching primer system to simplify the application process by eliminating the need for traditional phosphoric acid etching.
