BEBT-305 is a small molecule, selective tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) inhibitor developed by Guangzhou Bibet Pharmaceutical. It is designed to treat autoimmune and inflammatory conditions by targeting TYK2, a member of the Janus kinase (JAK) family that mediates the signaling of key pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin-23 (IL-23), interleukin-12 (IL-12), and Type I interferons. These pathways are critical in the pathogenesis of diseases like psoriasis. By selectively inhibiting TYK2, BEBT-305 aims to provide therapeutic efficacy while minimizing the off-target effects associated with broader JAK1/2/3 inhibition. The drug is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation for safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers and patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.
