Overview

BEBT-503 is an orally administered small molecule drug developed by BeBetter Med for the treatment of metabolic diseases. It acts as a potent and well-balanced pan-peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (pan-PPAR) agonist, targeting PPARα and potentially other PPAR subtypes. The drug is primarily being investigated for nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), type 2 diabetes mellitus, and primary biliary cholangitis. Its mechanism of action involves activation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors to improve glucose metabolism and liver function in patients with metabolic disorders[1][2][3][4][5]. As of the latest updates, BEBT-503 has completed Phase I clinical trials in Australia[3][4], with ongoing development for multiple indications.
