Bebulin

Bebulin is a 3-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (PCC) derived from human plasma, containing concentrated levels of coagulation factors II, IX, and X, with low levels of factor VII. It is primarily indicated for the prevention and control of bleeding episodes in patients with Hemophilia B (Factor IX deficiency). In the clinical research context at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Bebulin is utilized as part of a damage control resuscitation strategy to manage dilutional coagulopathy and thrombocytopenia in neonates and infants undergoing open-heart surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass.
