BECC470 is a next-generation Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) agonist developed through bacterial enzymatic combinatorial chemistry (BECC). It is a structurally modified derivative of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) designed to preserve the potent anti-tumor immune activation of endotoxins while significantly reducing systemic toxicity. By selectively engaging TLR4, BECC470 induces a pro-inflammatory cytokine surge (including TNF⍺ and IFNγ) that promotes cytotoxic CD4+ T-cell-mediated immunity. It is currently being investigated in preclinical models for the treatment of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
