Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ercob is a topical combination ear drop formulation containing the corticosteroid beclometasone, the imidazole antifungal clotrimazole, the local anesthetic lidocaine, and the fluoroquinolone antibiotic ofloxacin. Developed by Med Manor Organics, it is indicated for the treatment of various types of ear infections (such as otitis externa and otomycosis) caused by susceptible bacteria and fungi. Within this formulation, ofloxacin provides broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, clotrimazole targets fungal pathogens, beclometasone reduces local inflammation, redness, and swelling, and lidocaine provides rapid relief from ear pain and itching.
