Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Trimbow is a fixed-dose triple combination therapy containing an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS), a long-acting beta2-agonist (LABA), and a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA). Specifically, it consists of beclomethasone dipropionate, formoterol fumarate, and glycopyrronium bromide. Developed by Chiesi Farmaceutici and licensed to partners like Kolon Pharma in South Korea, it is indicated for the maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma in adults. The formulation is designed to improve lung function and reduce exacerbations by providing anti-inflammatory action, bronchodilation, and inhibition of acetylcholine-induced bronchoconstriction. It is available as a pressurized metered-dose inhaler (pMDI) and a dry powder inhaler (Nexthaler).
