Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Beclomethasone dipropionate + levosalbutamol is a fixed-dose combination inhalation therapy used primarily for the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Beclomethasone dipropionate is an inhaled corticosteroid that acts by suppressing inflammatory mediators and cells in the airways, thereby reducing inflammation, swelling, and mucus production. Levosalbutamol (also known as levalbuterol) is a short-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist bronchodilator that relaxes airway smooth muscle to rapidly relieve bronchospasm. The combination provides both anti-inflammatory maintenance therapy and rapid symptom relief for patients with obstructive airway diseases[1][5][8].
