Beclovid-C

Beclovid-C is a topical combination cream manufactured by the Malaysian pharmaceutical company Hovid. It is formulated with three active ingredients: clotrimazole (1%), beclomethasone dipropionate (0.025%), and neomycin. This combination is indicated for the treatment of various inflammatory skin disorders complicated by bacterial and/or fungal infections. Beclomethasone dipropionate is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, and itching by activating glucocorticoid receptors. Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, thereby disrupting fungal cell membrane integrity. Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that prevents bacterial growth by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit and inhibiting protein synthesis. The product is marketed for topical application to affected skin areas.
