becotatug

Becotatug is a fully human immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1) monoclonal antibody that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). It acts as an EGFR antagonist, binding to and preventing activation of EGFR, thereby inhibiting downstream signaling pathways involved in tumor cell proliferation and survival. Becotatug also exerts antineoplastic effects through mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and T lymphocyte stimulation. The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in patients with EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations, but is also under investigation for colorectal cancer, solid tumors, esophageal cancer, and nasopharyngeal cancer. Becotatug is currently in phase III clinical trials for NSCLC and earlier phases for other indications.
