Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bediol Cannabis Flos (brand name: Bediol®) is a pharmaceutical-grade, standardized medicinal cannabis flower product developed and manufactured by Bedrocan International BV. It contains approximately 6.3% delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and 8% cannabidiol (CBD). Administered via vaporized inhalation, Bediol® acts on the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 within the endocannabinoid system. The drug has been evaluated in clinical trials, including the Phase 2 SPIRAL study conducted by Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), for the treatment of chronic pain associated with fibromyalgia, both as a monotherapy and in combination with opioids like oxycodone to assess potential opioid-sparing effects and side-effect profiles.
