Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bedrobinol is a standardized medicinal cannabis chemovar developed by Bedrocan International. It is derived from the *Cannabis sativa* L. cultivar 'Ludina' and is produced under EU GMP standards as a pharmaceutical-grade active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and botanical raw material. The product contains approximately 13.5% THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and less than 1.0% CBD (cannabidiol). It is primarily used in clinical research and medicinal cannabis programs for conditions such as pain relief and appetite stimulation in advanced cancer-related anorexia. As a botanical raw material, its therapeutic effects are mediated by the interaction of cannabinoids, primarily THC, with the endocannabinoid system. Bedrobinol is supplied in various forms including flos (whole dried flower), cut flos, and industrial forms for further processing.
