Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bedrocan forte is a standardized cannabis chemovar developed by Bedrocan International as a plant-derived active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and botanical raw material for medicinal use. Derived from the Cannabis sativa L. 'Afina' strain, it is an enhanced version of the original Bedrocan product, featuring a higher delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content of 25% and less than 1.0% cannabidiol (CBD). The product is manufactured under EU-GMP conditions in Denmark to ensure consistent cannabinoid and terpene profiles across batches. It is supplied as whole or cut dried flower (cannabis flos) for use in pharmaceutical compounding and research. As a botanical raw material, its therapeutic effects are primarily mediated by the interaction of THC with the endocannabinoid system, though it is intended as a starting material for various medicinal applications rather than being approved for a single specific indication.
