Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BEL-X-HG is an orally available, botanically-based agent developed by Belx Bio-Pharmaceutical (Taiwan) Corporation for its potential antineoplastic (anticancer) activity. Upon oral administration, the components in BEL-X-HG may exert cytotoxic effects on tumor cells, potentially leading to antitumor activity. The drug was primarily investigated for use in patients with advanced refractory solid malignancies (advanced cancers that do not respond to standard treatments). Clinical development included a Phase 1 open-label dose escalation and extension study aimed at evaluating safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in this patient population. Clinical development has been discontinued.
