Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Belotero Volume Lidocaine is a sterile, viscoelastic dermal filler composed of cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) of non-animal origin, supplemented with 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride to enhance patient comfort during injection. Developed by Merz Aesthetics, the product utilizes a proprietary Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM) technology, which creates a monophasic gel with varying degrees of cross-linking. This unique structure allows for optimal integration into the dermal tissue and provides high volumizing capacity. It is primarily indicated for the restoration of facial volume in areas such as the cheeks, temples, and chin, and for the correction of deep facial folds like nasolabial folds. Clinical evaluations, including studies conducted in collaboration with Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital and Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, have demonstrated its efficacy and safety in correcting moderate to severe nasolabial folds, particularly in Asian populations.
