Overview
**Beltavac** is a Probelte Pharma brand of subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy products comprising polymerized allergen extracts, also termed allergoids. The precise active allergen source varies by formulation; documented Beltavac programs include house dust mite extracts and grass-pollen extracts. Repeated subcutaneous administration is intended to induce allergen-specific immune tolerance and reduce symptoms of allergic rhinitis and rhinoconjunctivitis. The house dust mite formulation, containing polymerized extracts from *Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus* and *Dermatophagoides farinae*, is in a Phase III study for allergic rhinitis/rhinoconjunctivitis, while a grass-pollen formulation has been studied in Phase II dose-finding trials.
