beludavimab

Beludavimab (VIR-7832) is an investigational dual-action monoclonal antibody developed for the treatment and prevention of COVID-19. It was designed to target a highly conserved epitope on the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2, which is also shared with SARS-CoV-1, making it less susceptible to resistance from viral mutations. The drug works by inhibiting virus internalization—blocking viral entry into healthy cells—and has been engineered with Fc modifications to enhance its ability to clear infected cells and potentially boost virus-specific T cell responses.
