Overview

Bemosubaimab (also known as TQB2450 or benmelstobart) is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1). By binding to PD-L1, it prevents the interaction with its receptor PD-1, thereby restoring T-cell mediated anti-tumor immune responses. It is developed by Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group (a subsidiary of Sino Biopharmaceutical) in collaboration with research institutions such as the Chinese PLA General Hospital. Bemosubaimab is frequently evaluated in combination with anlotinib, a multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor, for various malignancies. In May 2024, the combination of TQB2450 (under the INN benmelstobart) and anlotinib received its first approval in China for the treatment of small cell lung cancer.
