It is a combination formulation that features benfotiamine, a lipid-soluble derivative of thiamine (vitamin B1) with high bioavailability. Benfotiamine works by activating the enzyme transketolase, which helps divert excess glucose metabolites into safer pathways, thereby reducing the formation of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) that damage nerves and blood vessels.
