Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nuviana is a multi-ingredient therapeutic formulation developed by Sanix Formulation, primarily indicated for the management of diabetic neuropathy and other nerve-related disorders. The formulation combines benfotiamine (a lipid-soluble vitamin B1 derivative), methylcobalamin (the active form of vitamin B12), alpha lipoic acid (a potent antioxidant), folic acid, chromium picolinate, inositol, and pyridoxine (vitamin B6). Together, these ingredients work synergistically to improve nerve conduction velocity, reduce oxidative stress, enhance glucose utilization, and support the regeneration of damaged nerve fibers. Benfotiamine helps prevent the formation of harmful advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) by activating the enzyme transketolase. Methylcobalamin and pyridoxine are essential for myelin sheath synthesis and neurotransmitter regulation. Alpha lipoic acid provides antioxidant protection against free radical damage and acts as a cofactor for mitochondrial enzymes, while chromium picolinate aids in maintaining glycemic control by enhancing insulin sensitivity.
