Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bepirex is an ophthalmic solution containing bepotastine besilate (1.5% w/v), a second-generation antihistamine and mast cell stabilizer. It is developed by Zivira Labs and is approved for the treatment of ocular itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis. Bepotastine besilate acts as a highly selective antagonist of the histamine H1 receptor, inhibits the release of histamine from mast cells, and suppresses eosinophil migration into inflamed tissues, thereby providing rapid and long-lasting relief from allergic eye symptoms.
