Overview

Bertech Pharma (also known as Bertech Diagnostics) is developing a pipeline of cytotoxic small molecules for the treatment of colorectal cancer. These compounds are structurally divergent from established antineoplastic agents and are specifically designed to reverse multi-drug resistance (MDR) mediated by P-glycoprotein (P-gp). The lead compound in this series has demonstrated an IC50 of 0.56 μM against colorectal cancer cells in preclinical models. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development, focusing on overcoming resistance mechanisms that limit the efficacy of standard chemotherapy in patients with colorectal cancer.
