This is a hypothetical or non-standard combination drug consisting of four antihypertensive agents from different classes: - A beta-blocker, which reduces heart rate and cardiac output by blocking beta-adrenergic receptors. - A diuretic (typically a thiazide), which lowers blood pressure by promoting sodium and water excretion. - An angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, which decreases the production of angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure. - An angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), which blocks the action of angiotensin II at its receptor, also resulting in vasodilation. While combinations of two or three antihypertensive agents are common in clinical practice—such as ACE inhibitor plus diuretic, ARB plus diuretic, or beta-blocker plus diuretic—simultaneous use of both an ACE inhibitor and an ARB is generally not recommended due to increased risk for adverse effects without additional benefit. There are no known approved fixed-dose combination products containing all four classes together[1][2][3][4]. This combination would be used only under exceptional circumstances with careful monitoring.
