Overview

Stablanz is a combination pharmaceutical product developed by Ordain Health Care (a division of Exeltis) primarily indicated for the treatment of vertigo and Meniere's disease. It consists of betahistine, a histamine analogue, and Ginkgo biloba extract. Betahistine acts as a potent histamine H3 receptor antagonist and a weak H1 receptor agonist, which facilitates vasodilation in the inner ear and improves microcirculation, thereby reducing the frequency and intensity of vertigo episodes. Ginkgo biloba extract provides complementary effects by enhancing peripheral and cerebral blood flow through its antioxidant properties and inhibition of platelet-activating factor (PAF). The combination is marketed in India as a therapeutic option for managing vestibular disorders and associated symptoms such as tinnitus and hearing loss.
