Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Acriderm Genta is a topical combination dermatological preparation containing the synthetic corticosteroid betamethasone dipropionate and the aminoglycoside antibiotic gentamicin sulfate. Developed by Akrikhin, it is used for the treatment of inflammatory skin disorders (such as eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis) complicated by secondary bacterial infections susceptible to gentamicin. Betamethasone dipropionate provides anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive actions, while gentamicin sulfate provides broad-spectrum bactericidal activity against susceptible bacteria.
