Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Betaderm MN Cream is a topical combination dermatological formulation containing betamethasone dipropionate (a potent corticosteroid), miconazole nitrate (an imidazole antifungal), and neomycin sulfate (an aminoglycoside antibiotic). It is developed by Ancalima Lifescience and is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions (such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis) complicated by secondary bacterial and/or fungal infections. Betamethasone dipropionate acts as an anti-inflammatory and antipruritic agent by binding to glucocorticoid receptors. Miconazole nitrate targets fungal cell membrane synthesis by inhibiting lanosterol 14-alpha-demethylase, and neomycin sulfate inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit.
