Overview

Bevacizumab + rituximab + CHOP is a combination therapy regimen that merges the anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody bevacizumab, the anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody rituximab, and the CHOP chemotherapy protocol (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone/prednisolone). Bevacizumab targets vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), inhibiting tumor angiogenesis. Rituximab targets CD20 on B cells, promoting immune-mediated cell lysis. CHOP is a widely used cytotoxic chemotherapy regimen for non-Hodgkin lymphoma. This combination has been investigated as initial therapy for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and other aggressive B-cell lymphomas, but was discontinued in later-stage trials due to increased cardiotoxicity and lack of efficacy improvement over standard regimens[1][3][4][5][7].
