Overview

This is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of three agents: - **Bevacizumab** is a monoclonal antibody that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), thereby blocking angiogenesis, the process by which tumors develop new blood vessels to support their growth. - **Carboplatin** is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that causes DNA crosslinking and damage, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. - **Vincristine** is a vinca alkaloid that inhibits microtubule formation in mitosis, arresting cell division. While combinations of bevacizumab with carboplatin or vincristine are used in various cancer regimens (notably retinoblastoma and brain tumors), there is limited evidence for the routine clinical use of all three drugs together as a standard named regimen. However, each drug targets different aspects of tumor biology—angiogenesis (bevacizumab), DNA integrity (carboplatin), and mitotic spindle formation (vincristine)—potentially providing synergistic antitumor effects.
