Bevacizumab + eribulin is a combination therapy used primarily in the treatment of HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer. Bevacizumab is a monoclonal antibody that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), thereby blocking angiogenesis and reducing tumor blood supply. Eribulin is a synthetic analog of halichondrin B and acts as a microtubule dynamics inhibitor; it binds to the plus ends of microtubules, suppressing their polymerization and extension without affecting depolymerization, leading to cell cycle arrest at G2/M phase and apoptosis. This combination has been studied in both first-line and second-line settings for metastatic breast cancer patients who have progressed after prior therapies[1][2][3][6].
