Overview

This is a combination therapy consisting of three drugs—bevacizumab, lurbinectedin, and paclitaxel—used in the treatment of advanced solid tumors. Bevacizumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), inhibiting angiogenesis. Lurbinectedin is a small molecule that binds to DNA minor grooves and inhibits transcription, leading to cancer cell death. Paclitaxel is a taxane chemotherapy that stabilizes microtubules, preventing cell division and inducing apoptosis in cancer cells. The combination has shown synergism in preclinical studies and manageable toxicity profiles in clinical trials[1][3][5].
