Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bexident Aftas Gel is a topical oral treatment developed by ISDIN and clinically studied by the University of Milan. It is formulated with hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate) using the proprietary Advanced Hyalurofilm Tech, which creates a protective barrier over oral lesions. The formulation also includes Suprapein®, a protective film former with antibacterial properties. Classified as a CE IIa medical device, the gel is indicated for the treatment of recurrent aphthous stomatitis (canker sores), traumatic oral ulcers (e.g., from orthodontic appliances or dentures), and minor oral wounds. It promotes tissue hydration and regeneration while providing immediate pain relief by shielding nerve endings.
